Celebrate Hudson takes over Downtown Hudson on Saturday, September 19, and if this is your first time attending, there's something important to know: this isn't a festival where everything happens in one parking lot.

The downtown festival runs from 1:00–5:00 PM across seven activity areas, with the Main Stage and Beer Garden continuing until 7:00 PM. Here are a few tips to make getting around easier.

Plan to Walk

Comfortable shoes are your friend. Activities stretch throughout Downtown Hudson, including Main Street, South Street, Church Street, the Hudson Armory, Cellucci Park and the Assabet River Rail Trail.

Part of the Celebrate Hudson experience is making your way between areas and seeing what you discover in between.

Ride the FREE Colonial Trolley

FREE trolley rides run from 1:00–4:00 PM. Holly and Ellie will continuously circulate through downtown.

The five stops are: Boys & Girls Club on Church Street; Robinson's Lot on Park Street; Cellucci Park/Avidia Bank on South Street; Main Street Bank on Main Street; and Motors on Main near Grove Street.

After the Motors on Main stop, the route loops back toward the Boys & Girls Club. Trolleys may be especially busy at peak times, so don't rely on a ride to get you somewhere at an exact minute.

Parking

Public parking is available throughout Downtown Hudson in municipal lots, public parking areas and on-street spaces. Railroad Avenue includes all-day public parking.

Some areas that are normally available for parking will be used for festival programming. In particular, don't plan to park in the Avidia Bank/South Street event area or other lots being actively used for festival activities.

Give yourself a little extra time to park, follow all posted parking signs and restrictions, and check the Downtown Hudson Parking Map before heading downtown.

Roads & Traffic

There are no full road closures planned for Celebrate Hudson.

Downtown will remain active during the festival, with significantly more pedestrians than on a typical Saturday. Drivers, pedestrians and festival-goers should be cautious, patient and respectful while traveling through the area.

You Don't Need a Perfect Route

Start wherever you arrive and explore. Follow the music. Check out the vendors. Stop into a business. Grab something to eat. Hop aboard the trolley. Visit the cars. Find the kids activities.

Celebrate Hudson is meant to feel like a day spent discovering downtown — not checking boxes off a list.
