Celebrate Hudson 2025: Arts Around the Armory

One of the locations of Celebrate Hudson is right in front of the historic Hudson Armory, now known formally as The Armory on The Assabet, which will be a lively space packed with art, performances, and family fun. From interactive activities to dazzling shows, here is the Arts Around the Armory schedule for the day:


Creative Activities All Afternoon


  • 1:00 – 7:00 PM (Tent): Face Painting & Balloon Artist

    • Festival favorites return! Kids (and kids at heart) can enjoy colorful face designs and whimsical balloon creations all day long.

  • 2:00 – 4:00 PM (Tent): Origami with Mrs. Otake

    • Learn the art of mindful folding with Boston’s own Mindful Origami instructor. A hands-on workshop for all ages, where guests will learn how to make a swan and turtle.


Touch-a-Truck on the Front Lawn

  • 1:00 – 5:00 PM

    • Climb aboard and explore! The Massachusetts National Guard brings their vehicles for an up-close Touch-a-Truck experience until 5 PM.


Live Performances & Workshops

  • 4:00 – 4:40 PM (Tent): Puppet Show

    • The magic of storytelling comes alive with Tanglewood Marionettes, presenting their beautiful production of Sleeping Beauty.

  • 5:00 – 6:00 PM (Tent): Puppet Workshop

    • After the show, step behind the curtain! Tanglewood Marionettes will lead a puppet manipulation workshop (limited to 28 participants).

  • 5:30 – 6:30 PM (Front Driveway/Outdoor Space): InFlyte Entertainment

    • Don’t miss the grand aerial cirque performance! InFlyte Entertainment will amaze with silks, hoop, sling, and cirque-style artistry—an unforgettable highlight of the day.


From hands-on activities to spectacular performances, Arts Around the Armory is a must-visit stop during Celebrate Hudson. Whether you’re folding origami, painting faces, marveling at marionettes, or gazing skyward at aerial acrobatics, there’s magic waiting for you on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 1:00–7:00 PM.
